It was towards the end of the '80s when people started to talk about Acid Jazz but in reality, the phenomenon actually exploded fully around the early '90s, first in England, then in Europe and then all around the world.
A new way of listening and dancing to music that had Jazz influences produced by some amazingly talented musicians but also DJ's with their passion for Black music. Mainly Jazz rooted then, but with Soul and Funky elements to complete this excellent style that is very current and still much in vogue to this day.
Even though the original name is often misinterpreted the spirit remains the same. Among the best European labels, Irma Records is definitely one that has produced in the past and continues to release the best Acid Jazz tracks around, here collected for the first time in a double
CD at a very special price.
